Ace Paint and Unfinished Furniture is proud to announce that we now carry Aquaphalt! For those of you who haven’t heard much about Aquaphalt, and for those of you who have heard of it but have questions about this amazing product, we’re writing this post for you. Trust us, if you own a driveway, you’re going to want to know about Aquaphalt. Really.
What Is Aquaphalt?
Aquaphalt is an environmentally friendly, low VOC concrete and asphalt repair product. Most homeowners will find use for Aquaphalt in their driveways and pathways, whether concrete or asphalt. Business owners can use Aquaphalt in their parking lots. Any outdoor concrete asphalt surface, whether it’s a tennis court, basketball court or bridge joint, can make use of Aquaphalt for pavement repair purposes.
Why Should You Choose Aquaphalt Over Other Pavement Repair Products?
Aquaphalt can easily be installed by a DIYer, but has the permanence of professional repair products. In fact, Aquaphalt is said to be stronger than the surrounding pavement. It’s also a more environmentally friendly product than many other pavement repair patches. It uses no toxic solvents and no VOC’s and is said by Aquaphalt to be “practically food-grade.” (it’s important to note that this is not the same as actually being food grade and we are in no way encouraging you to eat it, nor is Aquaphalt)
What Do You Do To Install Aquaphalt?
Installing Aquaphalt is a lot like installing other pavement repair products. Start by cleaning out the hole in the pavement where you plan to install the Aquaphalt. Scoop out then sweep out any loose debris, rocks and crumbles of concrete or asphalt. Then open your container of Aquaphalt and pour it into the hole.
Overfill the hole so the Aquaphalt sticks up over the asphalt or concrete by about an inch. Pour water onto the Aquaphalt, then tamp it down into the hole until it’s compacted and flat. For deep holes, tamp down the Aquaphalt in sections about 2 inches deep until the Aquaphalt fills the hole all the way.
Can You Store Aquaphalt For Later Use?
Aquaphalt is water activated, so if you want to store it for later use, it’s important to seal it tightly. If the air inside the container is too humid, the Aquaphalt will set just like it would set in your driveway.

Ace Paint and Unfinished Furniture sells Aquaphalt now because we believe this is a good product that we can stand behind with confidence. However, if you’re feeling unconvinced, take a look at this very impressive report
that shows how Aquaphalt partnered with the Virginia Department of Transportation to patch one of their roads. Four years later, the patch was holding and in good condition!
So, do you have holes in your driveway? Walkway? Parking lot? Tennis court? Aquaphalt is for you, and Ace Paint and Unfinished Furniture
