Winter is almost here, and in honor of this beautiful season, we’re focusing this blog post on some of the best winter-inspired paint colors of 2014. We’ve chosen these elegant and graceful colors because they’re timeless and yet trendy, perfect for paint projects around the house.

Tips for Removing Latex Paint

  1. Benjamin Moore, Deep in Thought: If you could combine gray and cream, you’d get Benjamin Moore’s Deep in Thought. Great for bathrooms, living rooms and nurseries, this color goes best with soft blues and gentle greens.
  2. Benjamin Moore, Blond Wood: Studious and papery, this paint color reminds us a little bit of the cookies we’ll be baking this holiday season. We recommend this warm neutral for a study or home office.
  3. Valspar, Spun Honey: This color is warm and bright, and a bit eggnog-esque. We recommend this for a baby’s bedroom or an attic room where a cheery paint color can really make a difference.
  4. Benjamin Moore, Boothbay Gray: When we see Boothbay Gray, we think of a cold, coastal New England winter and foamy, turbulent seas. A little bit of blue, a little bit of gray, and a dash of wintery chill is what makes this color so striking.
  5. Benjamin Moore, Winter White: This complex shade of white contains just enough gray that it reminds us of the clouds that hang overhead on gentle winter afternoons.
  6. Valspar, Summer Sigh: Sure, it’s called Summer Sigh, but this this minty cool green has a wintery edge. Perfect for a bathroom or for use as an accent color, we recommend pairing this refreshing paint color with soft white or a mellow cream.
  7. Benjamin Moore, Street Chic: Gray is very in right now, so we’ve included this smoky, romantic shade of gray. This color is reminiscent of heavy clouds before a blizzard.
  8. Valspar, Cincinnatian Hotel: A soft and subtle shade of gray that goes well with shades of red or blue, Cincinnatian Hotel is flexible and rich, perfect for a bathroom, study or living room.
  9. Benjamin Moore, Palladian Blue: This gentle shade is more gray than blue, with a tiny bit of sea foam mixed in. We look at this color and think of ice skating on a crisp cold afternoon. Pair this color with white, another shade of gray, or a deep navy. We recommend this color for a bedroom or nursery.
  10. Benjamin Moore, Iced Marble: Not so different from Palladian Blue, this color is a little bit darker and moodier, which makes it great for a study or home office. This color dresses up nicely with white or light, light gray paint.
